This policy describes how the SovaUnion extension for Google Chrome works: how it uses your dashboard session, exchanges data with the SovaUnion service and stores preferences on your device. It is a standalone privacy policy for the extension.

Purpose of the extension

The extension provides a side panel for working with your existing SovaUnion account. It includes offers and their conditions, partner links, promotions, access applications, your balance and statistics. The availability of individual features depends on your account, platform and offer permissions.

Access to dashboard data

To sign in, the extension uses your active dashboard.sovaunion.com session in the same Chrome profile. It reads that domain’s authentication cookie and uses it for requests to the SovaUnion API. You sign in through the dashboard website; you do not need to enter a password or token separately in the extension.

When the panel opens, the extension requests your account profile, including your ID, role, first and last name, email address and office, and requests your balance after the session is confirmed. Commissions, statistics, and information about offers, platforms, promotions and application statuses are additionally loaded for the sections you select. These data are needed to display the dashboard and perform the actions you select. The extension does not save authentication cookies or tokens in its local preferences storage.

User requests and actions

Search queries, filters, selected periods and pagination settings are sent to the SovaUnion API to retrieve the corresponding results or report. When a partner link is generated, the selected offer, platform, landing page and redirect type are sent, along with the target URL, sub-IDs and XID you enter. When an application is submitted, the IDs of the selected offer and platforms are sent. Link generation and application submission take place after the corresponding user action.

The extension’s programmatic requests are sent over HTTPS to dashboard.sovaunion.com. When handling the connection, the server also receives routine technical information, including your IP address and request parameters. Link parameters may appear in the request URL, so you should not enter passwords or other secret information in optional tracking fields.

Preferences on your device

The extension saves your selected language, market-priority setting and selected market in Chrome’s local extension storage. Market preferences are separated by account ID so that one account’s selection is not applied to another. Chrome Sync storage is not used for these preferences.

Preferences remain after you close the panel or sign out. Changing a preference replaces its value, and uninstalling the extension removes its local storage through Chrome. Your profile, balance, reports, form drafts and generated links are not saved in this storage.

Tabs and clipboard

The extension uses local browser events indicating tab switches or page loading to clear a previously generated link. In doing so, it does not extract or store visited URLs, page titles or browsing history, and it does not read the content of open pages.

A generated link or promo code is written to the system clipboard only when you click Copy. The extension does not read clipboard contents. Signing out does not clear the system clipboard.

The extension itself contains no third-party analytics tools, advertising trackers or separate telemetry collection server. Data exchanges with SovaUnion support account operations and user requests. Data accessed through Chrome APIs are used only for the extension functions described here, and not for sale, personalized advertising, creditworthiness assessment or lending.

Code, styles, fonts and icons are packaged with the extension. The extension does not replace links on visited pages or set affiliate cookies on shopping websites. If you choose to open the dashboard, an advertiser’s website or a generated partner link, further interaction takes place with that website.

Retention and deletion

Screen data and form drafts are used in the panel’s memory and are not written to the extension’s persistent storage. When the session is lost or the account changes, the previous account’s data are reset. The lifetime of the dashboard cookie is determined by the website session and browser settings. Signing out through the extension also ends the dashboard session but does not delete the locally saved language and market preferences.

On the service side, data are retained for as long as they are needed to operate the account, fulfill user requests or comply with applicable legal obligations, and are deleted when the grounds for retaining them no longer apply. Uninstalling the extension does not delete your account or server-side information. For questions about the retention, correction or deletion of account data, contact info@sovaunion.com.

Your choices and requests

You can change the language and market, leave optional link parameters blank, sign out, revoke site access in Chrome’s settings or uninstall the extension. Account features cannot work without access to the dashboard session.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the extension’s features or information-handling practices change. The current version is published on the extension’s privacy policy page with its update date.
